You can't be called a great golf player if you get a par score or close to it nor deliver the perfect swings. Do you know what you are doing around the course? Half of all the people who are playing golf don't even have the idea of what they are doing. For one to be a great player, you have to know the factors that will aid you to accomplish this goal. Many golfers have often asked me what are the factors or skills that makes one be outstanding in golf. Even I have asked myself this question. It is noteworthy to say that becoming a great golfer can't be achieved over night. The guidelines and ideas I am sharing with you in this article sprung up from my years of playing golf.

Several golfers, both amateurs and professionals, have spent thousands on their hopes of enhancing their overall performance in the golf course. They buy some equipment, several magazines or books, and enrol in various golf lessons or golf schools just so they will improve their golf skills. I consider that the real secret in becoming an amazing golfer is the incessant pursuit to become better.

Start As Early As Your Teen Years

The later you start playing the game, the harder it is to learn the techniques and the more difficult it is to develop the needed skills. This can be a good tip for all aspiring golfers. If you are still in your teenage years, you need to start now. The later you start on learning and developing your skills, the harder it will be to achieve your 'great golfer' dream

Professional and top golfers did not learn their outstanding skills in golf mechanistically. They started to learn them in their younger years that they have imprinted them in their Central Nervous System. Learning and enhancing the necessary mechanics and skills in your teens will help you retain more in your mind and provide you a wider chance of actually becoming great at it. But if you are not in your teen years anymore, you have to start now.

Be A Natural Golf Player

Becoming great in playing golf, I personally think that one should play it naturally. Playing it naturally entails one to develop the needed skills.

Golfers need to have the excellent visual-physical perception. This means that a golfer should have the natural ability to obtain the desired direction, distance, and speed of the ball by specific muscle movement. A golfer must know how hard he needs to hit the ball, in which direction and in what angle to swing the golf club so the ball will go to the direction he needs it to.

Excellent hand-eye movement should be innate to be a great golfer. You may know how hard to hit the ball because of good visual-physical perception, but you need to have good hand-eye movement to make it possible for the club face to hit the ball where you want it to. It is important to coordinate one's swings.

Oftentimes, mistakes that happen on the course can affect the concentration of the golfer. An excellent mental fortitude, especially during the game, will keep emotions in check even with the many screw ups. Good mental fortitude maintains a golfer's visual-physical perception and hand-eye movement.

Practice and more Practice

Practice makes perfect indeed. Those who don't have the time will certainly not achieve the 'great golfer' dream. Most expert golfers always practice.
